Koi fish are one type of ornamental fish that are very popular among aquarium and pond lovers. With bright colors and beautiful movements, koi fish are not only a symbol of good luck and peace, but also the main attraction in pond decoration. Generally, diseases in koi fish are caused by parasitic, bacterial, or worm infections. When this happens, the fish will appear lethargic, then white spots will appear on its skin. - Pop Eye: Pop Eye or has another term Exophthalmia is a disease experienced by koi fish and is caused by tuberculosis bacteria. Koi fish with symptoms of Pop Eye disease will experience swelling in the eyeballs that appear bulging or protruding.
- Koi Herpes Virus: Koi Herpes Virus or abbreviated as KHV is a disease caused by the Cyprinid Herpesvirus 1 (CyHV-1) virus. Symptoms of this disease are characterized by gill damage, excess mucus production, sunken eyes, and blisters.
- Gill Flukes and Skin Flukes: This disease is a symptom caused by ectoparasites, namely Dactylogyrus spp and Gyrodactylus spp. This parasite will attack the gills and skin of the fish, causing loss of appetite.
- Blood Brown: Blood Brown can occur in koi fish due to nitrite (NO2) poisoning containing more than 0.25 ppm in the pond. This causes the fish’s skin to become dull and causes a red rash around its body.

- Dropsy: Dropsy is a disease that makes fish look bloated with raised scale surfaces.
